ABSTRACT SUBMISSION FOR THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF
CRITICAL CARE NEPHROLOGY IN CHILDREN- JULY 2023

Abstracts must be submitted BY EMAIL in Word document to lisawilliams5@nhs.net
Presentation Type: Abstracts may be submitted for oral or poster presentation or both. The
Scientific Committee will determine whether the abstract will be accepted for
presentation, with consideration given to the author’s preference.
Abstracts must be received by the announced deadline. Abstracts received after the deadline
will not be considered.
Presenting authors must be registered participants. Only abstracts of authors who have paid
their registration fees by May 15, 2023 will be scheduled for presentation and included for
publication.
The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the
abstract and agree to its submission, before submitting the abstract.
Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Abstract submitters will be required to disclose any
conflict of interests in the submission form.
TOP 3 INVESTIGATOR AWARD – RAMESH-RUPESH RESEARCH AWARD
Top 3 abstracts will be selected for the Research award – these will be presented as podium
presentations in the plenary sessions of the conference. Those selected will be given free registrations
for the Conference

ABSTRACT LANGUAGE
o All abstracts must be submitted in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling
of a quality suitable for publication.
Instructions for preparation of presentations will be made available on the Congress website.
GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION
Before you begin, please prepare the following information:

Presenting author’s contact details:
o Full first and family name(s)
o Email address
o Affiliation details: department, institution / hospital, city, state (if relevant), country
o Phone number
Author and co-authors’ details
Preferred Presentation type: You can choose to have your abstract considered for both Oral
and Poster presentation, or for Poster presentation only.
Abstract title – must be in UPPER CASE and limited to 25 words. Please submit symbols as
words.
Abstract text - limited to 250 words including acknowledgements. Use a normal, plain font
(e.g., 10-point Times Roman) for text.
Use italics for emphasis.
Do not use field functions.
Use tab stops or other commands for indents, not the space bar.
Use the table function, not spreadsheets, to make tables.
Use the equation editor or MathType for equations.
Save your file in docx format (Word 2007 or higher) or doc format (older Word versions).
Images – The maximum file size of each image is 500 KB. The maximum pixel size of the
graph/image is 600(w) x 800(h) pixel. You may upload images in JPG, GIF or PNG format.
Abstracts should clearly state:

Use only standard abbreviations. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after
the full word the first time it appears.
Use generic names of drugs. The presentation must be balanced and contain no commercial
promotional content.
Submissions may not contain patient names, hospital ID numbers or other identifying
information.
Please contact us if you have not received confirmation that your abstract has
been submitted.
Please do not submit multiple copies of the same abstract.
