We all know that the month of May is one the most controversial and important month of
the year because of the the election that happened 2 weeks ago. Philippine Election has been a hot
topic even in other countries and up until now, they are still eyeing us even before the filing of
candidacy up until the new president is decided, for them to decided if they are going to continue on
having a strong commitment or alliance with the Philippines after having a change of administration.
As a Filipino and one of the first time voters, I believe that selecting the new president is the most
crucial part in this election that is why we should remember that when chosing someone as the new
leader we should consider all the platforms that the aspiring president proposes and think if he/she
could be able to bring light to the countries economy. Having a good background and credentials also
is what a person should be looking for when assessing a candidate. But as a democrating country, we
could freely expressed our feelings that we often forget the term respect as we could see, the main
problem in this election is that some do not agree to the choice of the majority. All of us could see in
this election the aggressiveness of each Filipino possesses especially in social media were we filipino
people could freely express what we feel about the election that this this pushes some people to
surpass their limit. Here in the Philippines, Politics is an important business for this affects many
people especially in those high ranking position and by choosing a strong leader we could now change
this kind of environmeny that people could now have equal chances because it is the people is what
the leader is serving and not the people serving the leader. This election is significant in each Filipino
because here depends the future of the county and having someone competent who deserves to be
the one to lead the country is what we are looking for and if there is someone then I hope he/she
could give ease to the countries problems.
