Don't drown in clothes!
Posted 12 May 2023 by Nkateko Mlondzo- [food, lifestyle, fashion]
T-shirts, cargos, jeans, hoodies and sweats are fantastic alone,
make them over sized on top of that, even better. Over sized
clothes are great and I do get why we love them so very much.
Over sized clothes are comfortable and they aren't restrictive. They
allows us to feel free in our bodies.
It's like taking a walk down memory lane, to a great era the 90s. A time where
people were embracing themselves for who they are, and where they came from.
From being told by their moms ,"You'll grow into it.", because they couldn't afford
to get a fitting size, to it becoming iconic today.
The only problem is that it's starting to get out of hand. I mean if you can see that
you are a short person, I'm talking bite sized kind of small then don't go buy an
Extra large t-shirt, like come on.
It's become a thing to wear overly sized clothes. Clothes so big that you become
consumed, ingested and digested by your clothes. We aren’t wearing the clothes,
they're wearing us. At this point it's not big enough if you aren't tripping over your
pants or until you're able to fit your legs into your sleeve.
At least it hasn't reached wearing big shoes. I can just imagine a
world full of Goofys. Or huge hats or maybe even over sized
dresses. Please don't let it get to this guys. It would just be a waste
of material and resources to make something useful.
Bottom line it's atrocious, a fashion faux pas period, full stop, end
of sentence. I think we should get rid of all the Overly sized
clothes. Perhaps we could just burn them all, erase any trace of
their existence. Let me stop I sound crazy. Let's choose not to
drown in our clothes, just get one size bigger not four that's all.
