Position Title: Casual Game Development Officer (GDO)
Queensland Rugby Union are looking for a Casual staff to join our team in Metro, all Southeast
Queensland locations, Rockhampton, Mackay and Cairns areas. As a GDO you will be responsible for
maximising Rugby Union participation in schools, clubs, and communities. This will be achieved through
engaging entry-level programs such as Rookies 2 Reds, Get into Rugby & Touch 7s.
Job Type: Casual
Hourly Rate: $33.59
Location: Brisbane Metropolitan, All Southeast Locations, Central Queensland & Cairns
Key Responsibilities
Assist with and Deliver Rugby programs within the school, club and community
Rookies 2 Reds (typically after school & school holidays)
Get into Rugby & Touch 7s (during school hours & during term time only)
Rugby 7s Gala Days and tournaments
To be successful in this role it is essential you have:
A professional and energetic attitude
Current Blue Card – No Card – No Start
Basic understanding of Queensland Rugby Union entry level programs
Ability to work independently and show initiative, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to engage children and lead a large group, A current driver’s license and access to a motor
vehicle
Selection Criteria:
Essential: Blue Card | Driver’s License | Smart Rugby Accreditation | COVID Vaccinated
Minimum Coaching Accreditation - Smart Rugby Accreditation and Coaching Kids Rugby (or
willingness to obtain)
Desirable: Foundation – Level One Coaching Accreditation/Referee certificate
