Language focus 1: Tick the words that match the job
I work from 8am-8pm, sometimes a bit later, and sometimes I work nights. I’m
on my feet all day, and people are always asking me to do different things. I
have to decide what tasks are most urgent, and if I do something wrong, it
can cause serious problems.
Grace, Nurse
I love my job, though the pay isn’t great. I really enjoy taking care of people,
and I feel very happy with what I achieve.

Language focus 1: Tick the words that match the job
Pietr, Receptionist
I work mornings in a company that doesn’t have many visitors, most of the
employees do their work online, so I don’t have much to do. I sit at a desk
most of the time. Sometimes, I walk around the office and chat to people, or
ask if there is anything they want me to do like filing or photocopying.
The pay is good, but I don’t really find my job interesting. I don’t mind chatting
with my colleagues, but I hate sitting down all day. This is only a temporary
contract anyway, so I’m looking for something else.
