
Projectile – refers to the motion of an object that is thrown, or projected into the air at an angle.

Projectile motion – a combination of vertical and horizontal motions.

Trajectory – it is the path traced by a projectile during its motion.

Parabola – the trajectory of a projectile in free fall.

Gravity – “g” the primary force acting on a projectile (its value is 9.8 m/s/s downward).

Time of Flight – “T” It is the total time during which a projectile remains in space.

Maximum Height – it is the vertical distance between point of projection and the point where
vertical velocity is zero.

Horizontal Range – it is the horizontal distance between point of projection and point of landing.

Angle of Projection – it is the angle made by initial velocity with horizontal.

Acceleration – A change in velocity over a given time period.

Velocity – The speed of an object in a particular direction.
