INTRODUCTION
• CNG/LPG consists of mixture of propane and
butane which is highly flammable chemical. Itis
odorless gas due to which Ethane oil is added
as powerful odorant, so that leakage can be
easily detected. LPG isone of the alternate fuels
used now days.
• Some people have low sense of smell, may or
may not respond on low concentration of gas
leakage. In such a case, gas leakage security
systems become an essential and help to
protect from gas leakage accidents.
• Bhopal gas tragedy was an example of gas
leakage accident in India. This was one of the
worst gas leakage industrial accident.

• Gas leakage leads to various accidents resulting in
both material loss and human injuries.
• After the effects of harmful gases on human health
were discovered gas leak detection methods became
a concern.
Atmega
•The ATmega328 is a single-chip microcontroller
created by Atmel in the megaAVR family (later
Microchip Technology acquired Atmel in 2016).
• It has a modified Harvard architecture 8-bit RISC
processor core.
MQ-06 Gas Sensor
• The MQ-6 module is used in gas leakage
detecting equipment in family and industry,
This module has high sensitivity to LPG, isobutane, propane, etc.
• It can be easily interfaced with your Arduino
• Our idea is to make a very accurate and

cheap detector which gives the precise
result, we have interfaced MQ-06 with
Arduino.
• Module MQ-06 detects the gas
leakage. Along with the Arduino
board we have interfaced buzzer. The
basic concept is as soon as gas
leakage is sensed the buzzer goes on
with the sound of beep.
• If somebody is away from the point of
leakage of gas it will alert the person
from disastrous.
• Additionally, we have connected GSM
module for those who are not present on
the location it will send an alert call.
