Steps for Writing Research Proposal
Title: Concise, clearly indicate research question

Chapter 1: Make an introduction and rationale why you want that topic. (Purpose, background info,
significance of the study)

Variables, defined needs.
Chapter 2: In RRLs, all variables should be read. (Thematic, foreign, local, special studies to back up the
proposal)
Road-map for the RRLs, conduct detailed RRL, create a clear research question. (ano kailangan ko
tanungin para mabackup title ko na kaya kong sagutin)
Chapter 3: Methodology – instruments, data gathering, survey questionnaire (since may SOP na)
Questionnaire can be:

Adapted – nagawa nan ang iba, look at recommendations na lang. gagayahin mo na lang.
Self-made – walang readings na may dating ganon, gawa mo lang

Paano masosolusyonan
Identify research problem na gustom mong malaman.
Develop clear questions.
Research design to answer them and afterwards, write a research proposal.

Week 7 (RRLs) – gather thematic literature, more readings mean wider information you will get. Roadmap.
Week 8 (Methodology) – ano research design, statistical tools, survey questionnaires.
Departmental Exam (Theory) – Sample proposal, research manual, contents of every chapter. Ethical
practices.
Week 10 (research instrument) how to test ques validity
Week 11 (statistical tools) – purposive, selective
Week 12 (bibliography) – apa
Weeks (13-17) – consultative, future tense (it will), next sem ay present tense na.
