That is 3.26 units bigger than the limitation units. Meanwhile, for the dry rubber content experiment, the duplicate determinations are smaller than the limitation units that are 0.06 % and the weight of the both sample is larger than 5g. The inaccuracy for the experiment total solid content is cause by several errors or mistaken. First, the latex isn’t evenly covering the bottom surface of the Petri dish. The latex is not also totally dry when taken out from the oven and instead there are bubbles bellow the surface of the dry latex. For the dry rubber content experiment, the layer of the rubber sheet is approximately or almost 2mm because the differences between the two reading is smaller than 0.1%, but the rubber sheets still contain some small whiteness spot on the surface. To solve this problems, for the total solid content experiment, we find that the latex is suppose to cover the bottom surface evenly in order to make the latex dry uniformly or totally dry and also to prevent bubbles from appear bellow the surface of the latex when it dry. For the dry rubber content experiment, the layer of the rubber sheet is suppose to be 2mm and bellow, to minimize the water content in the rubber. CONCLUSION From the experiment, I know that the experiment that I carried out is succeed, Why? because I had follow all the requirements given from the lab report. For example I had succeed made the rubber sheet’s layer less thicker than 2mm,the latex is currently covering the whole bottom surface of the Petri dish. From this experiment I know on how to perform the TSC and DRC tests for latex and to understand the importance of the test that is the way to conduct the experiment. TUTORIALS How does the TSC differ from the DRC? The TSC differ from the DRC is the TSC is a measure of the total rubber and non rubber solids in the latex, while the DRC is a measure of the non-rubber solid content or percentages of the dry rubber content in the latex.
