Extra credits: Additional 25% credits will be given to you if you typeset your solutions in LATEX. You can also get partial extra credit for typesetting solutions of some problems. From those of you who uses LATEX, I will select a winner and base the released solution on her/his LATEX source. Stewart, 4th Ed. • §13.1: 5, 6, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 21, 23, 25, 29, 31, 33 • §13.5: 1, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12(f,i,j,l), 13, 15, 17, 19, 31(a,c), 37 • Extra credit (i) correctness, – §13.1: 35, (ii) number of extra credit problems finished, – §13.5: 21, 22, 25, 27, 28, 29 (iii) the logical flow of explaining the steps. Boldfaced problems weigh 2 points each and all other problems 1 point each. The four subproblems of 13.5-12 combine to 2 points while the two subproblems of 13.5-31 combine to 1 point. A random set of problems will be graded for a total point of 15. The homework winner will get another 25% extra credit.
