MODULE PURPOSIVE COMMUNICATION
Let’s Do This
TASK 1 – GIVE ME A MEANING!
Directions: Give the meaning and importance of communication on the following places.
AT HOME
It is important to communicate, especially at home with your family because it
empowers your family members to understand each other needs, wants, and
feelings. It is through communication that family members are able to resolve
the unavoidable problems that arise in all families. Opening up to your family
makes you feel better and have stronger family bond.
WITH THE NEIGBORHOOR
Strong communication links people who are committed to working
together to improve their neighborhoods. Weak communication can
hamper your group's progress and success. Strong communication
becomes even more important when your organization brings
together people of diverse languages, cultures or experiences.
IN SCHOOL
When communication is effective, both the student and the teacher
benefit. Communication makes learning easier, helps students
achieve goals, increases opportunities for expanded learning,
strengthens the connection between student and teacher, and
creates an overall positive experience.

consumers and the tenants operating within the centre.
IN THE WORK PLACE
Communication in the workplace is very important for companies to
work efficiently and be productive. Employees can experience increased
morale, productivity, and commitment if they can communicate up and
down a company’s communication chain. Employers who spend time
and energy to create open communication lines will quickly create trust
among employees, resulting in productivity, performance, and overall
morale. At the same time, employees who communicate effectively with
their colleagues, managers, and customers continue to be valuable
assets to a company.
INSIDE THE CHURCH
Effective communication is the best way to call people towards ministry.
Turning ideas and messages into action is a hope for any congregation. If
their communication skills are good, the church is likely to be united and
growing; if their communication skills are poor, the church is likely to
have problems. A church that lacks effective communication becomes a
house that is divided against itself and cannot stand.
