HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY.
This commitment covers all of the construction activities, including office staff and sub-contractors.
It is aligned with other policies and the expectations of our management system. Through
performance, KGM will demonstrate that it is committed to providing training and education of
personnel, safe conditions of work, protection of the environment and respect for the communities
in which we operate.
We will improve awareness of health and safety by engaging everyone in delivering improved
performance for our project activities and demonstrating leadership within our industry.
We will work with our client, employees and regulatory authorities to provide a high standard of
operation and safe work practices. We will openly report our performance, by applying recognized
industry practices and by the setting of common goals.
We will obtain assurance that operational risks are identified and the integrity of our design,
procurement and construction is being managed. We will actively manage all our work force about
their understanding of our expectations and their performance against our requirements.
We will meet or exceed the local regulatory requirements through strict adherence to all applicable
national laws.
We will ensure that people are clear in what is expected of them by ensuring that their positions
have clear roles and responsibilities. We will seek opportunities for people to arouse and develop
their skills in safety.
We promise to provide adequate resources for the implementation of this policy and this Project
HS Plan.
A personal commitment from each of us towards promoting and developing HS performance will
make a significant contribution to the success of our business.
