“As a National Discipline Awardee, What Can I Do to Make This Country a Better Place to Live In? As citizens of the country, we continuously desire to live a better life. This desire propelled us to life-changing innovations such as automobiles and gene technology. However, despite these transformations, we still experience problems that hinder us from transcending. Thus, we constantly explore ways to make this country a better place to live. And the simple answer is to become an agent of change. But how? As a member of the youth, we are hailed as the champions of the nation. We are the next generation that will change society in our own ways. Thus, to bring change, one must use their skills and have ambition, discipline, and perseverance. For instance, I am a campus journalist for my school. I believe that writing is a weapon and a platform to be the youth’s voice and tackle various problems our nation experiences. More so, this is also a way to encourage my fellow youth to confront serious problems and allow them to make positive changes. In addition, I can become an agent of change through ambition, perseverance, and discipline. Ambition drives us to excel, and perseverance fuels our desire to succeed, while discipline governs us to ensure that we accomplish our tasks. A person who embodies these traits is determined to exert high effort to change something despite facing a challenge. With all these, one can build a bridge to fight the challenges that hinder change that leads to a better country. It is difficult to strive for difference, especially with the fear of failing, but remember that we have the strength and the passion for changing and making this country a better place to live in. We just need to take the first step and commit to the advancement of our nation.
