Module 8 Signature Assignment
You are an IT Administrator and a breach has occurred at the
company you work for. Consumer, client (customer) and third-party
vendor information may have been compromised in the breach. You
are tasked with assisting authorities (federal and state regulators) in
investigating the level of the breach and possible compromise of
confidential information. As the primary company representative, you
are asked to write an 8-10 paper explaining your organizations’
obligations as well as limitation in assisting federal, state and other
entities to your company’s legal representative and how to best
proceed (recommendations) to ensure all compliance, legal
obligations are adhered to. You are to address the following in
preparation of your report.
Significant federal/state regulations with regards to cyber
security
Industry-based IT obligations
Relevant laws and regulations with regards to cyber security
compliance
Laws and regulations from Law Enforcement/civil investigation
of digital crimes
Sources may include the following:
Essential federal, state, and local information
Professional and academic reports
Web sites
Newsletters
Blogs, publications, or other reference sites
Writing Guidelines
Cover page and reference page (not included in the 8 - 10 page
count)
Running head and pagination
Must be double-spaced with 1-inch margins and typed in
12-point Times New Roman
Paper should be proofread for spelling and grammar mistakes
Use APA style format.
You must cite all texts used, including page numbers to avoid
plagiarism
Your paper must have a thesis statement and conclusion that
are both supported by research and background material.
