Jesus Kills the anti-christ at the Gathering of Believers
Apostle Paul states in 2nd Thessalonians 2 the “Man of Lawlessness” will be killed by the ‘breath’ of
Jesus at the “brightness” of Jesus’ coming when we are gathered to Him, then sometime later the AC will
be “healed” and begin to rule the world for 42 months…This event of Jesus killing the AC is prophesied
below in 6 different verses, two from the NT and four from the OT. In four of the verses, it states that the
Bride is gathered up AT THE SAME time when Jesus kills the AC. Note the OT refers to the AC as the
“Leviathan” or the “Assyrian” or the “head of the house of the wicked”. This would imply that Jesus kills
the AC during the one year of Bridal Service that precedes Daniel’s 70th week of 7 years.
2 Thes 2: 1Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to
him… to the effect that THE DAY [of gathering] of the Lord has come…AND the man of lawlessness is
revealed, the son of destruction… 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will
kill with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His [Jesus’] coming.
Rev 13: 12 It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its
inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed. 14 and by the signs that it is
allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make
an image for the [1st] beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived.
NOTE – Jesus has to kill the anti-christ before he rules the world…since…he is ALIVE at the end – Rev 19
Rev 19: 20 And the BEAST [the anti-christ] was captured… These two [1st and 2nd Beast] were thrown
ALIVE into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.
Mid-Point Conclusion –. Since the Beast, who is thought to be the ‘the anti-christ’ is alive at the time he
is thrown into the lake of fire, the Lord Jesus must have killed him at some prior to him coming up out
of the sea AND prior to the events in Revelation 13. We learn that the beast was “wounded by the
sword” and yet lived – healed. There is a “sword” in the O.T. that kills the “Assyrian” or “Leviathan” or
the “Head of the House of the Wicked” when believers are gathered – raptured.
Let’s take a look in the Old Testament to see these events unfold:
Isaiah 14: 25 that I will break the Assyrian in my land, and on my mountains trample him underfoot;
and his yoke shall depart from them, and his burden from their shoulder.”
Leviathan will Flee at the time of the harvest:
Isaiah 27: 1In that day the Lord with his hard and great and strong sword will punish Leviathan the
fleeing serpent, Leviathan the twisting serpent, and he will slay the dragon that is in the sea [1st Beast
comes up out of the sea] 13 And in that day a great trumpet will be blown, and those who were lost in
the land of Assyria and those who were driven out to the land of Egypt will come and worship
the Lord on the holy mountain at [new city] Jerusalem.
The Assyrian is killed by a “super-human” sword when the Jerusalem (Bride) is rescued:
Isaiah 31 5 Like birds hovering, so the Lord of hosts will protect Jerusalem; he will protect and deliver it;
he will spare and rescue it.” 8 “And the Assyrian shall fall by a sword, not of man; and a sword, not of
man, shall devour him; and he shall flee from the sword…
The Rider on a Horse with a Bow – Kills the head of the House of the wicked:
Habakkuk 3: 12 You [LORD] marched across the earth in anger; in fury you trampled the nations. 13 You
went out to save of your people, to save them with your anointed… You crushed the head of the
house of the wicked, [anti-christ - 1st Beast is conquered – head wound] laying him bare from thigh to
neck.
