1. What is Netiquette?
Netiquette is a term that describes how to interact and behave appropriately
and respectfully online.
2. As a student and everyday user of the internet, how can you apply
netiquette?
As a student and every day user of the internet, I think that being conscious
of what you post online, not sharing anything that might affect or offend others,
and thinking about the effect of your words and actions before posting anything
online is what I can do to maintain netiquette.
3. Give 2 examples of cybercrimes.
1) Cyberbullying
-
the act of harassing, threatening, or humiliating someone via
technology, such as social media and messaging apps.
2) Online scams
-
the use of trickery to deceive individuals into giving money or
private information through the internet.
4. In the Philippines, what are the available punishments for cybercrime
criminals? Do you think these punishments are enough? Why or why
not?
The Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, also known as Republic Act No.
10175, sets out the punishments for cybercriminals in the Philippines. The penalty
might be a fine or perhaps prison sentence, depending on how serious the offense
was. Whether the Philippines' penalties for cybercrimes are enough is a matter of
opinion and depends on a number of factors, including the severity of the crime,
how it impacts the victim, and how well the law is implemented.
