Project Title: Automation and Monitoring through IIoT for Hank to Cone Winding Machine at Textilfort (Private) Limited. Students: 1. Name: Ravi Shankar Reg. No: 19040 2. Name: Ashir Ahmed Reg. No: 19010 3. Name: Haris Aftab Reg. No: 19015 4. Name: Sufyan Shaikh Reg. No: 19035 Supervisor: Engr. Dr. M. Sameer Ahmed Progress Details: We are pleased to offer our proposal for the upgrade of hank-to-cone winder machines through the integration of a programmable logic controller (PLC), an IoT HMI, and an AC servo motor to automate the single spindle of a hank-to-cone winding machine. Our proposed solution includes the following enhancements to your existing machine: Integration of a PLC: The PLC will serve as the central control unit of the machine, coordinating and synchronizing the various components of the machine. It will enable automated control of the spindle's speed and acceleration while improving winding accuracy and consistency. Installation of an HMI: The IoT HMI will provide a user-friendly interface that will enable real-time monitoring of the machine's performance, as well as a company cloud server for monitoring machine parameters online from anywhere. Operators will be able to monitor key performance indicators such as start, stop, spindle speed, and acceleration and make quick adjustments as necessary. Integration of servo motors: The servo motor will enable precise control of the spindle's speed, minimize wastage, and improve the quality of the wound yarn. Our proposed solution will result in the following benefits for your textile manufacturing process: • Improved Efficiency: The automation of the winding process will reduce labor costs and enable faster production rates. • Enhanced Precision: The integration of PLC, HMI, and servo motors will result in more accurate winding, resulting in higher-quality yarn output. • Real-Time Monitoring: The IoT HMI will enable operators to monitor the production online anywhere, making adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal performance. We believe that our proposed solution will help you achieve your production goals and improve the competitiveness of your textile manufacturing operations. Supervisor Co-Supervisor Engr. Dr. M.
