DAIRY CATTLE

Exhibition Guidelines:
1. All exhibitors must abide by the Exhibitors Livestock Health Requirements.
2. Ownership dates: Calves and Yearlings – June 1, 2018; Cows – January 1, 2018
3. Lactating dairy cattle may arrive on the day of the Dairy Show and may leave following the Dairy
Show.
4. Exhibitors should be prepared to present health records prior to the 4-H Dairy Show, except for
animals under 6 months of age.
5. Dairy cattle must be personally cared for by the 4-H member.
6. Members are expected to be on time for all 4-H shows. For animal shows this means at the
show area, in proper attire, with their animal ready and proper documentation for the animal.
Dairy - Junior
Dairy – Under 3 months of age
Dairy – 3-6 months of age.
Dairy – 6 months to under 12 months.
Dairy – 12 months to under 17 months.
Dairy – 17 months to under 24 months.

Dairy – 2 years and older.

Junior and Senior Class and Reserve Champions from above classes will compete for Grand Champion
and Reserve Grand Champion.
Grand Champion – Dairy
Reserve Grand Champion – Dairy
Dairy Bull – Under 3 months of age.
Dairy Bull – 3-6 months of age.
Dairy – Pair of Females. Exhibit any 2 females.
Dairy – Dam & Daughter. Any age. Can show in another dairy class.
Senior Showmanship – Members 14 and older as of September 1, 2019
Junior Showmanship – Members 8-13 years old as of September 1, 2019
