SAHIH MUSLIM ETIQUETTE OF DUA How to make dua? 01 Have faith that Allah SWT will respond. 02 Praise Allah SWT i.e. "Ya Rab, even if I praise you, it will never be enough" & call Allah SWT by his names. 03 Ask Allah SWT for forgiveness i.e. "Al Ghafur, please forgive my sins". 04 Send blessings upon the prophet PBUH and follow this with your Dua 05 Once you have made dua, send blessings upon the prophet PBUH. Ash shakur, Alhumdulilah for everything you have given me, always allow for me to be grateful through the good and the bad. Ar Raheem, please have mercy upon all muslim brothers and sisters around the world going through difficulties. Please protect our brothers and sisters in sham countries and protect those suffering against war and oppression in every country. Al Basit, please have mercy upon the deceased who have passed away and have no one to pray for them. please forgive them for their sins. As Sami, please give me and my loved ones a good end, please let us die with the shahadah on our tongue. Al Azim, please guide me and my loved ones to the right path and allow us to reunite in Jannah. Al Karim, please remove all the hardships the ummah is facing, please accept their duas and remove the difficulties which are affecting them, Allah only you know what every soul is facing, please make it easy for every single one of them. Al Wadud, please keep me steadfast on my deen and please don't let me lose Islam. Allahuma Ajirni minanar (say it 3x), Oh Allah save me from the hellfire. Al Majid, Please give everyone good health and allow them to do Ibidah for you Allah. Al Ahad, please allow me and my loved ones to be able to go umrah and hajj whenever we please. Al Afu, please forgive me for my sins Allah SWT, i am a sinner and if you don't forgive me, surely i'll be amongst the wrongdoers. Protect me from the fire and give me a good end. Al Wali, Please protect me and the ummah from depression and mental health issues. As Samad, please make me the best version of me that you will be pleased with Allah SWT. Al Barr, please guide my parents/siblings/loved ones closer to you ya Allah, please let us all be in jannah together. Al Ghani, please give me and my loved ones Afiyah. Al Mutaali, please bless my rizq and allow for me to do more for my akirah. An Nafi, please make me successful both in the dunya and the hereafter Al Hadi, please have mercy on me and accept my duas and provide a way out for me when faced with hardship. Al Baqi, our lord please forgive all the believing muslims for their sins and allow them to become the best versions of themselves which you will be pleased with. Ar Razzaq, please protect us from poverty and debt. Al Wahab, I seek your protection from inability, laziness, cowardice and miserliness; I seek your protection from the punishment of the grave; and I seek Your protection from the mischief of life & death. O Allah, Help purify me in my ‘ibadah and niyaa. O Allah, give me good character and protect me against the danger of my tongue O Allah, Help me memorise Qur’an & Arabic and practise its contents. O Allah, Save us from the punishment of the Qabr and of the horror of Yawm al Qiyama. TAHAJUD DUA The dua Prophet PBUH would read at the time of Tahajud The words, with which Prophet Muhammed PBUH used to start his Tahajud prayer, were: (O Allah! All the praises are for you, You are the Holder of the Heavens and the Earth, And whatever is in them. All the praises are for You; You have the possession of the Heavens and the Earth And whatever is in them. All the praises are for You; You are the Light of the Heavens and the Earth And all the praises are for You; You are the King of the Heavens and the Earth; And all the praises are for You; You are the Truth and Your Promise is the truth, And to meet You is true, Your Word is the truth And Paradise is true And Hell is true And all the Prophets (Peace be upon them) are true; And Muhammad is true, And the Day of Resurrection is true. O Allah! I surrender (my will) to You; I believe in You and depend on You. And repent to You, And with Your help I argue (with my opponents, the non-believers) And I take You as a judge (to judge between us). Please forgive me my previous And future sins; And whatever I concealed or revealed And You are the One who make (some people) forward And (some) backward. There is none to be worshipped but you. DAILY DHIKR Remember in Ramadan, the reward for every good deed done is multiplied by 70! Whilst each page has 'Dhikr of the Day', to gain the most reward, you should try read the following dhikr on this page every day. Sleeping Adkhar Allahumma innaka khalaqta nafsee wa-anta tawaffaha, laka mamatuha wamahyaha in ahyaytaha fahfathha, wa-in amattaha faghfir laha. Allahumma innee as-alukal-AAafiyah. O Allah, verily You have created my soul and You shall take its life, to You belongs its life and death. If You should keep my soul alive then protect it, and if You should take its life then forgive it. O Allah, I ask You to grant me good health.’ Al-Muslim 4:2083 Allahumma qinee AAathabaka yawma tabAAathu AAibadak. O Allah, protect me from Your punishment on the day Your servants are resurrected. Abu Dawud 4:311 Bismikal-lahumma amootu wa-ahya. In Your name O Allah, I live and die. Al-Bukhari 11:113, Muslim 4:2083 Alhamdu lillahil-lathee atAAamana wasaqana, wakafana, wa-awana, fakam mimman la kafiya lahu wala mu/wee. Du'a of the day َأ َرِّب ِإّنى ِلما نَزلَت ِإَّىَل ِم ن َخيٍر َف قيٌر Rabbi innee limaa anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqeer ''O my Lord ! Truly I am in need of whatever good You bestow on me'' Surah Al-Qasas:24 Ramadan Fact of the day: Hadith of the day: Those who have disbelieved and died in disbelief, the earth full of gold would not be accepted from any of them if it were offered as a ransom. They will have a painful punishment, and they will have no helpers. (Quran, 3:91 Whoever recites a letter from the book of Allah, he will receive one good deed as ten good deeds like it. (Sahih Muslim #2726) Recite Astagfurullah at least 70x (In Surah Nuh, ayah 10-12, Allah relates the story of Prophet Nuh and how he instructed his people to seek Allah’s forgiveness. If they would just say “astagfirullah,” Allah would send them rain in abundance, and increase their wealth and children, and give them gardens and rivers in Paradise. Du'a of the day َحْس ِبَي ُهللا آَل ِإٰل َه ِإاَّل ُه َو َع َلْي ِه َتَو َّك ْلُت َو ُه َو َرُّب اْلَع ْر ِش اْلَع ِظ يِم Hasbiyallaahu laa 'ilaaha 'illaa Huwa 'alayhi tawakkaltu wa Huwa Rabbul'Arshil-'Adheem "Allah is sufficient for me . There is none worthy of worship but Him . Du'a of the day َع ْي ٍن َيا َح َيا َق ُّيوُم ِبَرْحَم ِت َك َأْس َت ِغ يُث َأْص ِلْح ِلي َش ْأِني ُكَّلُه َو اَل َتِكْلِني ىَل َنْف ِس ي َط ْر َفَة ِإ ُّي Yaa Hayyu yaa Qayyoomu birahmatika 'astagheethu 'aslih lee sha'nee kullahu wa laa takilnee 'ilaa nafsee tarfata 'aynin. "O Ever Living One, O Eternal One, by Your mercy I call on You to set right all my affairs. Do not place me in charge of my soul even for the blinking of an eye". Sahih Ramadan Fact of the day: Allah says: “The good end is for the people of Taqwa” (Quran 20: 132). Some qualities of Taqwa are obeying order of Allah and abstaining from unlawful things (3:102), performing prayer (2:177), speaking Truth (33:70), paying zakat (2:177), doing duty to Allah (4:131), Trust (2:283), fulfilling contract (2:177), patience (3:186 ). Hadith of the day: The Messenger (PBUH) said, “Whoever gives food to a fasting person to break his fast, shall have his sins forgiven, and he will be saved from the Fire of Hell, and he shall have the same reward as the fasting person, without his reward being diminished at all." Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers. Surah Anbiya, Verse 87 Ramadan Fact of the day: “Be patient [steadfast]: God does not let the rewards of those who do good go to waste” (Quran, 11:115) Hadith of the day: Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said that those who care for orphans will be in Paradise with him (saw), just as the middle and index fingers are raised together. Purify your heart and make dua for blessing and goodness for those you love and those who have hurt you. “None of you will have faith till he wishes for his (Muslim) brother what he likes for himself.”[Volume 1, Book 2, Number 13] Dhikr of the day: Recite 3x after Fajr = Subhaanallaahi wa bihamdihi, ‘Adada khalqihi wa ridhaa nafsihi, wa zinata ‘arshihi, wa midaada kalimaatihi. Du'a of the day َو َأَّو َلُه َو آِخ َرُه َو َع اَل ِنَي َت ُه َو ِس َّرُه، ِد َّق ُه َو ِج َّلُه، الَّلُه َّم اْغ ِف ْر ِلي َذ ْنِبي ُكَّلُه Allaahum-maghfir lee thanbee kullahu, diqqahu wa jillahu, wa 'awwalahu wa 'aakhirahu wa 'alaaniyata hu wa sirrahu "O Allah, forgive me all my sins, great and small, the first and the last, those that are apparent and those that are hidden." Abu Dawud: 878 Ramadan Fact of the day: “And whoever relies upon Allah – then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Du'a of the day َرِّب َتَق َّبْل َتْو َبِتي َو اْغ ِس ْل َحْو َبِتي َو َأِج ْب َدْع َو ِتي َو َثِّبْت ُحَّجِتي َو اْه ِد َقْلِبي َوَس ِّدْد ِلَس اِني َو اْس ُلْل َس ِخ يَم َة َقْلِبي "My Lord, accept my repentance, wash away my sin, answer my supplication, clearly establish my evidence, guide my heart, make true my tongue and draw out malice in my breast." Abu Dawud Ramadan Fact of the day: Hadith of the day: “Verily the one who recites the Quran beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. (Sahih Muslim #2726) Recite Subhanallah 30x Recite La ilaha illala 30x Du'a of the day َّل َأ َأ َأ َأ َق َق َف َت َبَّس َم َض اِح ًۭكا ِّم ن ْو ِلَه ا َو اَل َرِّب ْو ِزْع ِنٓى ْن ْش ُكَر ِنْع َم َت َك ٱ ِت ٓى ْنَع ْم َت َع َّىَل َو َع ٰىَل َٰو ِلَد َّى َو َأْنَأْع َم َل َص ٰـ ِلًۭح ا َتْر َض ٰى ُه َو َأْدِخ ْلِنى ِبَرْحَم ِت َك ِفى ِع َباِد َك ٱلَّص ٰـ ِلِح يَن “My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into [the ranks of] Your righteous servants.” Surah An-naml Ramadan Fact of the day: Hadith of the day: “There is not a single day in which a servant wakes that two angels come down (from the Heavens). One of them says, O’ Allah! Give to the one that spends a substitute (for what he has spent). And the other one says, ‘O Allah! (Sahih Muslim #2726) Recite 10x Allahumma inni as’alukal-huda, wat-tuqa, wal-‘afafa, wal-ghina (Translation: (O Allah! I beseech You for guidance, piety, chastity and contentment) Du'a of the day ًال َو َع َم ًال ُم َت َق َّب ، َو ِرْز ًق ا َط ِّيًبا،الَّلُه َّم ِإِّني َأْس َأُلَك ِع ْلًم ا َناِف ًع ا Allahumma inni as’aluka ‘ilman nafi’an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa ‘amalan mutaqabbalan "O Allah! I ask You for knowledge that is of benefit, a good provision and deeds that will be accepted" Surah Ibn Maja Ramadan Fact of the day: Hadith of the day: “There is no servant who fasts a day in the way of Allah except that Allah will distance his face from the hellfire by a length of seventy years of travel” (Muslim) charity of the day: Donate £1 to Afghanistan by clicking 'Donate', see further details via link "And whoever puts all his trust in Allah (SWT), He will be enough for him". Surah At-Talaq 65:1-3 Deeds of the day: Recite Chapter 13 Quran. Send an uplifting message to someone in need. Donate food or clothes to your nearest bank for those in need. Dhikr of the day: Recite 3x after Fajr = Subhaanallaahi wa bihamdihi, ‘Adada khalqihi wa ridhaa nafsihi, wa zinata ‘arshihi, wa midaada kalimaatihi. (Sahih Muslim #2726) Recite 20x Allahumma-hdini wa saddidni (Translation: "O Allah!Direct me to the Right Path and make me adhere to the Straight Path" [Muslim]. Du'a of the day َو ُق ْل َرِّب َأْدِخ ْلِني ُم ْد َخَل ِص ْد ٍق َو َأْخ ِرْج ِني ُم ْخ َرَج ِص ْد ٍق َو اْج َع ْل ِلي ِم ْن َلُد ْنَك ُس ْلَط اًنا َنِص يًرا Wa qul rabbi adkhilnī mudkhala sidqin wa akhrijnī mukhraja sidqin waj‘al lī min ladunka sultānan nasīrā "My Lord, cause me to enter a goodly entrance and to exit a goodly exit and grant me from Yourself a supporting authority." (Surat al-Isra’ 17, Āyat 80) Ramadan Fact of the day: Hadith of the day: Holy Prophet Mohammed (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said, “On the Day of Qiyamah, at all places the closest to me will be those that have read the most number of Durood" and “He who sends a single Durood upon me, Almighty Allah rewards him ten times and ten good deeds are recorded in his book of good deeds”.
