To achieve an effective argument, you should have a clear opinion statement. 2: WHAT IS AN OPINION? ♦ An opinion is a statement of judgment, view and appraisal which has been based on facts EXAMPLES OF OPINION Some people believe that there are some parts of the earth which receives the same amount of sunlight. The earth has unlimited sources . More people prefer the taste of red apples than the green apples. 3: WHAT IS A FACT? ♦ It is a verifiable statement. ♦ It can be proven objectively by verified observation or results. EXAMPLES OF FACT The earth revolves in orbit around the sun for 365 days. The earth is the only livable planet in the solar system.
