Your Role
Due to the economic hard times, many
school districts in the nation are facing tough
decisions about budgets. A large local school
district is facing this crisis and is considering
cutting technology spending for the
classroom.
You and your group members are part of a
technology in education advocacy group.
Your work is to inform the public about current
needs of technology in the classroom as well
as promote the use of technology in the
classroom.
This prevents the purchase of computers,
laptops, projectors, software, upgrades and
maintenance of current equipment, digital
cameras, mobile devices such as iPods and
iPads, video cameras, microphones, etc.
Your advocacy group has been called upon
by member of the community to convince
the school district that keeping technology in
the budget is a necessary and critical
investment.
