The 3 Chinese Bamboo Tree Lessons You Need to Learn Before 2023
The Chinese bamboo tree is said to take about 5 years to shoot out from the ground. It has to be
watered and fertilized every day where it was planted. After 5 years, it takes just 5 weeks for it to grow
90 feet.
Nature teaches us a lot of lessons. The bamboo tree is one of those lessons.
1. The first lesson we learn is this ‘Growth is not always visible’:
The fact that the bamboo tree is not visible in the first 5 years does not mean that growth is absent.
The moment the bamboo tree is not watered or fertilized during the first 5 years; the bamboo tree
would die in the ground. Strange right?
Sometimes in our life, it seems the effort that we put in is not yielding the result we desire or the
result is not visible. Well, I am here to let you know that the efforts are not wasted.
2. The second lesson is patience:
You have to be patient with yourself, the life you run was never designed to be a sprint but a
marathon.
Sometimes, our visions, dreams, and goals take time and it is never achieved immediately after we
start to take action. The bamboo tree requires patience from the farmer. Without this patience,
then the bamboo tree would die in the ground.
3. The third lesson is that acceleration is inevitable:
Isn’t it funny that it takes 5 years for the bamboo tree to shoot out of the ground but it takes only 5
weeks for it to achieve a 90 feet height?
As I said some goals, dreams and ambitions might take time but not all would require a lot of time
because you have a solid foundation. The 5 years of the bamboo tree is the building of its
foundation by growing strong roots.
