Components Needed

AC Plug
When we create a DC
power supply, it creates
DC voltage from the AC
mains voltage from a
wall outlet.
Transformer
The transformer's activity is to
take the 220V AC voltage from the
mains line and step it right all the
way down to 12 volts because
we are using a 12V transformer.
Full-wave Rectifier
The activity of the full-wave
rectifier is to take the AC voltage
from the transformer and
rectify it in order that
there is no negative cycle.
Filter Capacitor
The Filter capacitor acts to
clean out fluctuations in
a signal, in order that there
may be much less fluctuation.
LM317 Voltage Regulator
it serves as an adjustable
voltage regulator, is to
provide variable DC
voltage as output.
Potentiometer
These used collectively
determine what voltage
might be output with the
aid of using the regulator.
