HEAD HOUSEKEEPER AMBOSELI Angama is recruiting a Head Housekeeper for its new property opening this November in Kimana Sanctuary: a rare, challenging, and exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to lead the housekeeping operations of a high-end safari lodge from the very outset. The overall responsibility for the cleanliness of the property, and presentation of the tented suites, guest areas and staff village 2. Adapting the in-room offerings for each guest and ensuring that personal preferences are both sought after and met, before and during a guest’s stay 3. Leading the operations of the laundry and delivering same-day guest service 4. Training and inspiring a team of housekeepers to consistently care for guests in the Angama Way 5. Recruiting and building a team that works well together 6. Documenting the Angama Way of housekeeping in Amboseli, including property-specific dustmanagement efforts 7. Maintaining a visible appearance at the lodge and engaging with guests on a daily basis 8. Being the internal champion for all team uniforms 9. Ensuring that the broader team maintains the highest possible standards of personal hygiene 10. Implementing stock management practices that ensures seamless procurement and minimized wastage, taking into account identified shortages and expected occupancies Kenyan nationals who meet all the below requirements will be at a distinct advantage: A minimum of 10 years of experience in hospitality, including a similar senior position with overall responsibility for a housekeeping team A natural ability to bring out the best in people and inspire & lead a team of housekeepers Computer literate with strong administrative skills Fluency in English & Kiswahili Educated to a tertiary level Remuneration will be market-related and commensurate with a position of this standing, including benefits.
