1 My Thoughts Over the next two years, and specifically, by the end of 2024, I will have accumulated at least a million shillings worth of wealth, separate from the family wealth—apart from what I inherited from my dad. Therefore, sometime this year, or te next, I will be among the exclusive club of Kenya’s self-made millionaires when I become a millionaire. Why do I make this declaration? Because God was graceful and merciful enough to make me sharp and disciplined. He has also blessed me with a beautiful and loving wife who, again by God’s grace, is equally endowed mentally and morally. As a bonus, she also doubles up more spiritually and Godfearing than me. In this respect, I look up to her. This gives me the confidence that God, after endowing me with such brilliance, and gifting me with such a wife, will find in his bountiful love to provide my family and me with a plan to become a millionaire and therefore empower me to serve a higher purpose—one of charity and good deeds, one of uplifting my father’s name and bringing him not only respect but also honor among his brothers. While this could be selfish and self-exalting, my purpose is to uplift my family so that each of my brothers and sisters is wealthy and well-off. Poverty has a way of breeding contempt and feelings of frustration and hatred. However, so is wealth. Therefore, in all humility, I call upon God Most High to bless my father’s family with love, adoration, patience, and forgiveness for each other. Please, Almighty father.
