LEARNING TASKS ELICIT ENGAGE Show two pictures to the class (one matter and one non matter). (Example: nonmatter: picture of light from a torch, heat from the fire, sound from the police siren (forms of energy); Matter: picture of any solid, liquid or gaseous substance. Let the students cite the differences between the two and write them on the board. Ask the students what could be the possible characteristics/ properties these pictures have.
