Overview
The forticlient VPN tool is used to connect to the RCS environment when working off-site via the terminal server to
access Shared Drives and Required Business Applications
NB: When you only need to access Outlook and Skype for Business, you don’t need to be connected
on the VPN. We recommend that you access these apps directly from your laptop. Only connect to
the VPN when you need to access your share drive and critical apps.

Installation of Forticlient on Workstation/Laptop

Locate installation folder on RCS shared drive
Navigate to the required location of the R drive to locate the installation files and double click on installation
file.

4. Setup VPN Token (Fortitoken)
Token Activation
After a VPN token has been assigned to you, you will receive a welcome email from ‘your own RCS email
address’, giving you instructions and includes your Activation Code which you need to enter on your device.
The picture attachment on this email, contains the token's QR barcode to be used to configure the software
on the Fortinet mobile app. The app generates the code needed as part of the extra security for VPN.
7.
Install and configure the FortiToken mobile application
Once installed, open FortiToken Mobile on your phone. It will then ask you to configure manually or
use the barcode.
Please select the barcode method, then scan the barcode received in your ‘’Welcome Email’ using your
mobile camera.

This will auto configure the FortiToken Mobile app on the phone and will then generate token codes.
5. The VPN uses your AD credentials as well as fortitoken to authenticate the
connection.
Note: Your user name and password are Case sensitive
