LLDA Sports Fest 2023 Mobile Legends Tournament Mechanics – Men and Women 1. Team Composition. The Tournament is open to all men and women without any restrictions in team composition in terms of gender. However, all teams are encouraged to compose a team that is represented by both men and women in the spirit of promoting gender inclusivity. A team must consist of five main players and a maximum of two reserves. All teams are required to register their line-ups including their in-game names and Mobile Legends ID to GFPS on February 5 – 10, 2023. The names registered in the list shall be the official representative of the respective teams throughout the tournament. Teammates are likewise required to add each other in-game to reduce interruptions and ensure the efficient facilitation of the tournament. 2. Game Mechanics: The opposing teams must arrive in the designated playing area 10 minutes before the game and provide their main five players to the assigned GFPS for the first game . Failure to comply shall result to the forfeiture of one game. The game shall commence as scheduled or immediately upon agreement of both teams. The Game Mode to be used in the tournament is Custom – Draft Pick. Swapping between main and reserve players between games is allowed in the tournament. There is a five-minute interval between the end of each game to allow both teams to discuss their strategies for the next game. Teams are allowed to request for a game pause in case of network latency issues, subject to the validation of the GFPS. 3. Tournament Format: Single Knockout Each team shall designate a Team Captain to participate in the draw lots to determine the first-round match-ups. The first-round will be a Best-of-5 series. The winning teams in the first-round shall face each other in the finals through a Best-of-7 series to determine the tournament champion and the 2nd place. While the losing teams will battle through a Best-of-5 series to determine 3rd and 4th place. Overall, the four teams will play a total of 2 series each for the whole tournament. Team and Individual Awards A Championship Trophy shall be awarded to the overall champion The Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award shall be awarded to the most outstanding player throughout the tournament. The selection shall be based on individual statistics and his overall team impact. LLDA Sports Fest 2023 Basketball Tournament Mechanics - Women 1. Basketball Rules. The standard basketball rules and regulations of FIBA 3x3 shall be implemented in this tournament. 2. Team Composition. Each team shall be composed of one Head Coach and a maximum of 5 players in each of the four groups assigned by the GFPS. All teams are required to register their line-ups to GFPS on February 5 – 10, 2023. Tournament Format: Single Knockout Each team shall designate a representative to participate in the draw lots to determine the first round match-ups. After which, the winning teams in the first round shall face each other in the finals to determine the tournament champion and 2nd place. Game Mechanics: The opposing teams must arrive in the basketball court 20 minutes before the game and provide their respective starting line-ups to the committee. Failure to comply shall result to the forfeiture of the game. The game shall commence as scheduled or immediately upon agreement of both teams. The 3x3 game consists of two 10-minute halves or a total of 20 minutes. A 5-minute break shall also be allotted at the end of 1st half. Shot clock is set at 12 seconds. The game shall be played half-court where the opposing teams will race to score 11 points within the given playing time. If the opposing teams failed to score 11 points within the period, the team with the higher score wins. In case of a tie, opposing teams shall continue to play and the first team to score two consecutive baskets shall win the game. All ball possessions must start above three-point arc. Baskets inside the two-point area shall be scored as one point while baskets made outside the three-point arc is equivalent to two points. Teams must take the ball outside the three-point arc after securing a steal, block or a rebound off a missed shot or free-throw by the opponent. Teams shall only be allowed to directly make a shot attempt from a rebound when an opponent’s shot did not hit the rim. Otherwise, the ball possession shall be given to the other team. Shooting fouls within the 2-point area shall only be awarded with one free-throw while shooting fouls from the 3-point area is awarded with two free-throws. Team foul limit is set at six fouls. Fouls over the limit shall be considered as penalty and shall result to two free-throws by the opponent. Coaches and Team Captains can call a total of 2 timeouts with one minute duration throughout the game. Substitutions can be made during a dead ball, timeout or half-time. 5.
