A. Social media addiction has become a cause of concern. It creates relationship problems and leads to
issues such as anorexia and depression.
B. Social media can be beneficial if used properly, but it can also be harmful if a person develops an
addiction to it. Sadly, a growing number of individuals, particularly young people, are becoming addicted
to social media.
II. Body, Paragraph - 1
A. Addiction to social media is a real issue with serious consequences. Many people around the world are
addicted to social media platforms and it is taking a toll on their personal as well as professional lives. They
are not only ruining their lives but also impacting the lives of those around them.
a. Social media addicts have a constant impulse to check notifications on their social media accounts.
They check their phones frequently to see if there is any new notification. When a new notification
appears, they are overjoyed, and when none do, they are sad. Addicts on social media put social
media before everything else in their lives. They look at it the last thing before going to bed and
the first thing in the morning. Their relationships with their coworkers, friends, and family are put
on hold.
b. Such activities or routines involving social medias makes individuals away from the real world and
real conversations and it can cause disinterest in making real ones to the people around them that
makes them cold relationships

A. Addicts to social media waste time on pointless activities on Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms.
They procrastinate or delay the actual activities they are obliged to perform during the day.
a. A person addicted to social media ignores his work. He is constantly busy updating and improving
his social media profile and stalking the profiles of others online. Social media becomes his
priority and he begins to ignore his work. Social media addicts often get late to office, skip
important meetings and are unable to meet the deadlines at work. Their productivity decreases by
the day.
b. Both professionals and students could suffer from procrastination and become unproductive.
Students will get low grades, relationship to their parents, and their future will be affected.
Professionals will be lesser productive on their job and might encounter bad relationships with the
boss and co-workers.

A. Social media addicts want some new activity on their social media profiles constantly. This is practically
not possible. While many people are active on social media, we cannot expect them to keep liking or
commenting on our updates all the time.
a. Social media addicts feel anxious and stressed when they do not see any new notification. They
also feel sad when people do not like their photographs or other people get more likes. Many of
them go into depression over the time.
b. These people might suffer into deep depression and anxiety that can also cause their lives. When
intimidation, bullying, and discontentment strikes, it will be very harmful to their emotional and
mental stability.

A. Addicts on social media exhibit compulsive behavior. They frequently lose touch with reality and
become socially isolated. To live a happy and healthy life, it is critical to recognize and overcome this
problem. Social media addiction is becoming a big problem. It is ironic how a platform meant to let people
socialize is actually cutting them from the society.
