As the Caribbean is home to a
diverse mix of cultures there are
multiple religious beliefs. All
religions have their own beliefs and
practices.

What is Christianity?
The religion based on the
person and teachings of
Jesus Christ or its beliefs and
practices.
There were established
churches in the Caribbean in
the 19th century such as the
Anglicans and Catholics
which had different religious
customs from the Baptists,
Methodists, Moravians,
Presbyterians or
Congregationalists.
Evangelism
the spreading of the Christian
gospel by public preaching or
personal witness.

When the first evangelicals came to
the Caribbean, little if anything had
been accomplished.

almost contemporaneous with the
