Abstract Curriculum change is done in order to improve the learning and academic process of students. It is known as a process whereby adjustments, alterations are done to the curriculum. One major purpose of change in curriculum is to give students a centered and multidisciplinary learning experience that will improve and enhance their skills suitable for academic purposes and a challenging work environment. The research aim of the study was to examine the effect of curriculum change on the performance of students. The research objectives are to examine the impact of students' attitude towards curriculum change on the learning process of students; to investigate the effect changes(s) in curriculum could have on the performance of students; to analyze the influence of implementation curriculum change on students’ performance. The study used a desktop research method which enabled the researcher to review and analyse various literature relating to the subject matter. Thematic analysis was used to analyse the selected literatures in which themes were then generated from the findings. The findings of the study revealed that the attitude of students towards curriculum change could affect their learning process. It was elaborated on by establishing the fact that, when students generate a positive attitude towards curriculum change their learning process is enhanced. Likewise, if students develop negative attitude towards curriculum change it could affect their learning process negatively. Also, the findings revealed that changes to the curriculum will make it easier for students to learn via experimentation and exploration than the previous system, which used a one-size-fits-all methodology. Lastly, the findings revealed that implementation of curriculum change could influence the performance of students. It was indicated that if proper implementation is not done to curriculum change, students can lose focus or interest in a particular subject. It was concluded that curriculum change definitely affect the performance of students.
