Roxy Johnson April 29, 2021 TERM PAPER My goal after taking this course is to take my state license exam and pass. I would like to look for local real estate businesses that would let me internship, so I can gain experience and make connections. I would like a better understanding of the real estate market hands on. While doing research I found one company called CBRE located in Ontario, C.A, which is a leading full service real estate company and investment organization in the world. CBRE internship would give the opportunity to get a head start in commercial real estate. My idea of real estate has always been selling of residential property. I never really thought about how big the real estate market expands. There is residential, commercial, industrial and vacant land. My longterm goal would be working with a huge real estate company under a broker who is outgoing, fair, honest, and very organized. I have been researching different broker who are hiring entry level license agents, there was several companies in Orange County. I don’t have a certain client I would like to represent, obviously. I would like to make a good amount of money, but I am very interested in help first time home buyers get into a home they love and developing within the real estate market. When I went through the process to buy my home it was stressful and confusing, and it was difficult to find an agent that I trusted. I would be the agent who walks them step by step, doesn’t leave anything out, and is completely there for my clients. By talking to real estate agents and brokers I know and reading articles on the web I found it really surprising how much the market drops and rises, and how you can make a good sale one month and the next month the outcome is different. It is important to be smart with your money in case you get no sales for a few months. When I received my license, I am going to internship for a few months and then apply to work for Century 21 in Hesperia, C.A and after I get a good amount of experience under my belt. I will return to school to get my degree and one day own by own real estate business. All in all, I hope to flourish in my real estate career and have a good career foundation to live on.
