Activity 2
10 years from now, you will become a teacher. New technologies will be developed and you see
drastic effects on planet earth. How will you respond to the booming technologies that will
endanger life on earth?
Technology is very important in our society, without it we would not be able to survive
in our ever changing society or not having technology to cope up with our ever changing society.
Since everything has become more accessible and more convenient people tend to log off and
become lazy. This with better solutions and easier work load comes the over dependence of
people to technology. The tend not to think for them selves anymore and let technology take
over there lives. This is bad for its makes us the slaves of technology instead of us controlling
them they are the ones that control us. Technology is important in every society. But if we insist
on using and depending on it a lot it can also destroy us. So we must think for ourselves if it is
worth it and use it as we see fit.
Educational innovations emerge in various areas and in many forms. There are
innovations in a way education systems are organized and managed, exemplified by charter
schools or school accountability systems. There are innovations in instructional techniques or
delivery systems, such as the use of new technologies in the classroom. Innovation can be
directed toward progress in one, several, or all aspects of the educational system: theory and
practice, curriculum, teaching and learning, policy, technology, institutions and administration,
institutional culture, and teacher education. It can be applied in any aspect of education that can
make a positive impact on learning and learners. So, as a future teacher I want to raise the quality
of teaching, to enhance teacher education, professional development and life-long learning
environment. Many of us believe grand reforms or powerful technologies will transform our
education system. Whatever technologies we devise for education, however much technology
we integrate into learning, the human element, particularly the learner and teacher, remains
problematic. So, while taking advantage of effective educational technologies, we must situate
those modern tools within a wider context of human education in order to preserve its
humanistic, developmental purpose and, thus, make more effective use of them. In order to
succeed, innovative education must become a collective matter for all society for which we must
generate universal public responsibility. Otherwise, all our efforts to build an effective
educational system will fail.
