Goal and Participatory Action Plan Goal The first plan being is that creative informative advocacy videos and infographic about Republic Act No. 8485 or known as the ‘Animal Welfare Act of 1998’ and stress that anyone who tortures or abuses animal is a violation to the law and has a pertinent amount of jail time and penalty. This is important because there are still people who are not aware of the existing law and may be prone to further endangerment of the animal and the owner themselves. The second plan is to conduct a regional seminar that strictly tackles the seriousness of abuse to animals. This seminar shall be done through Zoom and shall be posted on the initiative’s page for people to see and view for themselves. The regional seminars are executed by the volunteers and speakers that are one for prevailing the animals’ right to live and not be abused. Participatory Action Plan There will be barangay reports and public advisory announcements to the public that shall utilize the given hotlines such as: Bureau of Animal Industry - Animal Welfare Division (BAI-AWD) - tel. # (02) 926-1522 or the National Emergency Hotline - 911.
