Business Overview
The Comfy Cartel is the answer to a unique opportunity. Cagayan de Oro, a
community of over 720,000 is the perfect geological location for the start-up
company, The Comfy Cartel, for it brings forth business-related opportunities in

Handing out a precise formula
that represents the
entrepreneurs’ profit as a
function of cost, one that
delivers the exact break-even,
profit and loss of the
entrepreneurs’ business.
Chapter 3: Product Marketing
Product Marketing helps business owners, including inventors, have
an overview of how accurate the business flow would be. With the
given product data, the two parties could see the company’s scope of
loss, break-even and profit.
Product Data
The total cost of the product would be 250.00 pesos.
This is the sum of all accumulated prices of the
product’s ingredients. This is the data of a one recipe.
Business Data
The Comfy Cartel has a fixed Initial
Capital of 7950.00 pesos.
Given by the product data, the sum of
all accumulated prices of the
S
ingredients, we have come up of 250.00
pesos Total Cost This is the operational
cost.
There are 7 tubs or cups of leche flans that could be made in one
recipe or batch. Hence, the entrepreneurs have calculated the
potential selling price, resulting to 50.00 pesos
Chapter 4: Business Financing
In one batch or recipe, there are seven
tubs or cups of leche flan produced. 250
is the total cost, 50 is the selling price.
50x represents as the revenue, 250x/7
represents the expenses.
This is the formula of the function.
A formula which represents the business’ profit as a function of cost.
We are also able to determine the profit, breakeven and loss by
executing this formula: F(x) = 50x - 250
BREAKEVEN - NUMBER OF TUBS/CUPS = 5
* COST = P 250.00
* SELLING PRICE = 50.00 EACH
1 BATCH = 7 TUBS/ CUPS
- BREAKEVEN =
REVENUE - EXPENSES
= P250-00 - (5 CUPS) (P50.00)
=
250.00 - 250.00
BREAKEVEN = O
PROFIT - NUMBER OF TUBS/CUPS = 6 OR MORE
* COST = 250.00
* SELLING PRICE = 50.00 EACH
1 BATCH = 7 TUBS/CUPS
- PROFIT = REVENUE - EXPENSES
= (6 CUPS) (P50.00) -P 250.00
= 300.00 - 250.00
PROFIT = 50.00
: 6 CUPS/TUBS OR MORE OF LECHE FLAN TO HAVE A PROFIT
LOSS - Number of tubs/cups = 4 OR LESS
* COST = P 250.00
* SELLING PRICE= 50.00
1 BATCH = 7 TUBS/CUPS
- Revenue - Expenses = Loss
= (50.00) (4) - 250.00
= 200 - P250.00
LOSS = -50
4 cups/tubs or less are needed to have a loss
Using the formula that represents the profit as a function of cost. Substituting the
variable of the function with a quantity of 14 and 16, we would be able to get a profit
of 200.00 pesos for 14 quantities and 228.57 or 229 pesos for 16 quantities.
F(x) = 50x - 250x ; x = 14
7
F(x) = 50 (14) - 250(14)
7
F(x) = 50x - 250 ; x=16
7
F(x) = 50 (16) - 250 (16)
7
F(x) = 700 - 3500
7
F(x) = 800 - 4000
7
F(x) = 4900 - 3000
7
7
F(x) = 200
F(x) = 5600 - 4000
7
F(x) = 50x - 250x ; x = 1
7
F(x) = 50 (1) - 250(1)
7
F(x) = 1600 or 228.57
In every one tub that is going to be sold, there is a profit worth 14.29
pesos.
F(x) = 50 - 250
7
F(x) = 350 - 250
7
F(x) = 100 or 14.29
Given the data above, table of values are then presented as:
* F(x) = 50x - 250x/7 ; x = 0
F(x) = 50(0) - 250(0)/7
F(x) = 0 - 0/7
Y=0
*F(x) = 50x-250x/7 ; x = 3
F(x) = 50(3) - 250(3)/7
F(x) = 150 - 750/7
Y = 42.86
*F(x) = 50x - 250x/7 ; x = 5
F(x) = 50 (5) - 250(5)/7
F(x) = 1750 - 1250/7
Y = 71.43
*F(x) = 50x - 250x/7 ; x = 7
F(x) = 50(7) - 250(7)/7
F(x) = 350 - 250
Y = 100
*F(x) = 50x - 250x/7 ; x = 10
F(x) = 50(10) - 250(10)/7
F(x) = 3500 - 2500/7
Y = 142.86
F(x) = 50x - 250x/7 ; x = 12
F(x) = 50(12) - 250(12)/7
F(x) = 4200 - 3000/7
Y = 171.43
Chapter 5: Business Graphing of Data
Given the values of x and y. The following pairs are graphed to visually illustrate the relationship of
the data. The graph serves as visual aids used to analyze data.
Each point represents the given
values respectively.

Second point = (3, 42.86)
Third Point = (5,71.43)
Fourth point = (7,100)
Fifth point = (10,142.86)
