LOG VS REC 709
REC 709 is the industry term for a camera’s basic ‘Standard’ color profile.
LOG is a more advanced color profile which allows images to retain much more info in the highlights and shadows.
Different camera’s have slightly different LOG profiles which allow you to push the image for a deeper color grade.
If you are shooting LOG format, you may want to try using the LOG LUTS. If your footage isn’t filmed in a flat profile,
you may want to use the REC 709 style LUTs instead.

YOU WILL NEED COMPATIBLE SOFTWARE SUCH AS:
- ADOBE PREMIERE CC
- AFTER AFFECTS CC
- ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CC
- FINAL CUT PRO X
- DA VINCI RESOLVE
- SONY VEGAS PRO

PLEASE NOTE THAT LUTS ARE MEANT TO BE USED AS A STARTING POINT IN POST PRODUCTION. THEY ARE NOT
ALWAYS A ONE STOP SHOP MAGIC SOLUTION, BUT TO BE SEEN AS A TOOL TO BUILD YOUR COLOR GRADE UPON.
THIS COLLECTION OF LUTS IS DESIGNED TO WORK IN DIVERSE SITUATIONS. IT’S IMPORTANT TO ENSURE THAT
VIDEOS AND IMAGES ARE PROPERLY COLOR CORRECTED BEFORE LUTS ARE APPLIED.
IF YOU ARE NOT GETTING THE RESULTS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR, TRY STARTING WITH THE LOG BASE LUT
INCLUDED IN THE PACK. ONCE APPLIED. YOU MAY APPLY A REC 709 LUT ON A NEW LAYER AS A FINISHING LOOK.

LAUNCH ADOBE PREMIERE PRO.
DRAG LUMETRI COLOR ON ADJUSTMENT LAYER.
Under the ‘Creative’ dropdown you will now see your LUTs appear.
You can stack your LUTs and adjust the intensity to achieve your
desired look.
