Question: Are there any species that you know of that are now extinc? How might be would be different if they still existed on Earth? Nowadays, there are 500s recently extinct species due largely to direct and indirect human interference. Some recently extinct are Splendid Poison frog (2020), Boiji (2017), Pyrenean ibex (2000), Northern White Rhinoceros (2018), Tecopa Pupfish (1981)…And some extinct are long extinct such as Steller’s Sea cow (1768), Quagga (19th century), Dodo (17th century), Tasmanian Tiger (20th century)… Besides species that have become extinct due to humans, there are species that have become extinct naturally like the dinosaurs, ground sloth, megalodon, elephant birds… If the above species still exist, the whole world would be topsy-turvy. The fact that wild animals are still alive would upset the balance of the ecosystem, some species wouldn't exist if they didn't go extinct. The world would be invaded by big animals, humans would be like in a zoo, having to hide at home. Humans could be eaten by dinosaurs or other dangerous animals. But luckily those are just theories, the world is still normal.
