Arbasto, Anthony Augustin A Feb.7,2019 1-FSM-C As a friend I can show compassion in the way of being kind to others because for me the person you are being kind to benefits through your help and you’ll feel good for having helped someone and it makes me genuinely happy because I can see the emotions of the person I’ve helped that money can’t buy. Being kind to others opens a door for new friendships. I feel comfortable helping others because it can have a positive effect on my own mental health and wellbeing and it can reduce stress as well as improve mood, self-esteem and happiness. I choose kindness as my act of goodwill for others because it is the easiest and inexpensive way to perform this certain kind of act that can boost my own happiness and satisfaction and it just makes me feel warm that I accomplished something. Kindness is a dive and get thing a bit like respect. I believe that I can affect and influence others around us by committing ourselves to selflessly perform acts of kindness in order to help others and the world will be better through kindness. Being kind has many benefits including increased happiness and a healthy heart. It slows down the aging process and improves relationships and connections, which indirectly boosts your health. That is an amazing payback. When we set out to be kind to others, to lift them up, to encourage and strengthen them, the result is that we are lifted up. We are encouraged and strengthened. Let’s be kind to others today and then pay attention to the payback we receive in our own lives. Perhaps if enough of us are kind to others the atmosphere in the room or the school or the city or maybe even the nation will change but at least the atmosphere in our own hearts will change.
