Select Remedy Action for SW Error
SW Error is a primary alarm. It is raised when the system detects an
abnormal situation, such as receiving a reject signal from another part of the
system, or getting a timeout while waiting for an answer. The alarm is raised if
the system cannot recover without manual remedial actions.
The additional text typically provides some system internal details without
isolating the root cause. Contact firmware or software provider for further
troubleshooting before replacing any hardware.
If the alarm is raised on the MO FieldReplaceableUnit, the additional text
can have a (Mixed Mode with other ME) extension which indicates that
it is shared with another Managed Element and possibly in conflict with
another RAN.

Remedy Actions for AntennaNearUnit: Any
Additional Text
SW Error on AntennaNearUnit (ANU) is raised when the system detects an
abnormal situation involving antenna equipment. The signaling to these units,
supplied by Ericsson or other vendors, follows a standardized protocol via a
communication link.
The additional text ANTP_ANU_ERROR_xxx received from unit in
procedure <procname> occurs when the antenna equipment replies with
this error code over the communication link.
The additional text Timeout: <specific information> occurs when the
antenna equipment is not responding to a request that was sent over the
communication link.
The additional text Reject signal ANTP_DISCONNECT_ANU_REJ:
<error description> occurs when the procedure for disconnecting a
communication link to the antenna equipment has failed.
Steps
1. Restart the radio unit connected to the faulty AntennaNearUnit.
If the alarm remains, do the following:
2. Contact firmware or software provider to retrieve new antenna near unit
firmware or software upgrade package. Update both if necessary.

Steps
1. If the alarm Software Management Lost Connection to File
Server is issued act on that first.
If the alarm remains and the faulty unit is not Baseband or Baseband T unit,
do the following:
2. Restart the faulty unit with restartRank RESTART_WARM.
If the alarm remains, do the following:
3. Restart the Baseband or Baseband T unit with restartRank
RESTART_COLDWTEST.
If the alarm remains, do the following:
4. Consult the next level of maintenance support to retrieve an upgrade
package with a correct resource configuration that solves the software
error, if necessary.
