Introduction
Neerja is a movie that is based on a real-life
event(the hijacking of Pan Am flight 73 in
Karachi(September 5th 1986). The genre is
Drama/Thriller
z
1.The events at the
end of the movie...
After 17 hours of the hijack, the plane loses the auxiliary
power and the lights cut off inside the plane. The
terrorists assume that the Pakistani police cut the power
deliberately,and anticipate an imminent pakistani raid on
the plane. Neerja and the other crew attempts to explain
the situation to the terrorists, but they didn’t believe them.
The panicking hijackers begin shooting on the
passengers randomly; at great peril to her own life,
Neerja opens the emergency exit door and deploys the
chute, directing passengers out of the plane, choosing to
let the passengers escape first, but while she was trying
to help the passengers escape, she got shot 3 times by a
terrorist as she tries to shield three young children from
the gunfire. The children escaped the plane. Then Neerja
drags herself out of the doorway and down the
emergency slide before dying. The movie ends by
showing her parents when they've received her body.

Unfortunately the story ends badly for Neerja
because she passed away even though she
had a bright full future upon her.

denouement...
There wasn't really a mystery or
questions in the movie that had to be
solved or answered. Everything was
clear and was shown to us.

unexpected ending...
It was not expected, I thought it would end
happily and thought that Neerja would go back
safely to her home and her parents.

▪ It was so emotional to see
how she sacrificed her life in
order to save the
passengers. It was a sad and
a heartwarming ending.

life to protect others.
