Activity 2- Ethical Considerations Submitted by: Group 1 Angela Acapulco Kate Christine Digal Kleya Jhyrve Jayo 1. As a consultant, it is our job to bring out the best of the company that we are working which is why if our findings would prove that there should be necessary and even big actions to take which in this case is to remove the president in his position just for the company to improve its efficiency, then it is only fitting that such action should be made since it is the consultant’s responsibility to be objective with our decisions as well grasp and represent facts without undue influence of others. More than that when it comes to performing Management Advisory Services, every consultant must act with integrity and objectivity as well as to be independent in mental attitude regardless of the cost that it may bring. 2. Our opinion is crucial as a consultant in this engagement since there are a lot of things that should be taken into account and we consultants are anticipated to strive for integrity, independence, and mental attitude. As a result, we intend to conduct business fairly and honestly. Aside from that, objectivity also requires us consultants to avoid bias and establish an impartial attitude in all matters under consideration. So even if the project appears to be lucrative, we must be factual about the results by telling the truth to the client. In addition to determining what the company wants concerning its business, recommendations must be free of deliberate distortion and misrepresentation of the facts and we consultants ought to be mentally independent in order to maintain public trust with regards to our profession. 3. As a professional consultant, we base our work on the characteristics that every effective consultant should possess which includes professionalism. When it comes to professional courtesy, we say yes since as far as profitability is concern it is unfitting to pass up such business opportunities. However, when it comes to our personal lives, we are opposed to it while some may agree and disagree that's why we have differences. But as a consultant in this case, we find it unethical to accept the engagement since we believe that the business should not only focus on the profitability aspect but also for the greater good of the community. In this scenario, we find it unethical to promote such product whom we know in the first place that it is already harmful to the people.
