Fretag’s Pyramid Climax: The turning point, sometimes the most exciting part of the story Falling action: Everything that happens after the climax and before the conclusion. Rising Action: Often it’s the obstacles the protagonist must overcome Exposition: Characters, setting, conflict Inciting incident: an event that starts the story’s action. Resolution + the conclusion. It does not mean everything is resolved ro there is a happy ending. Fretag’s Pyramid for Echo and Juno Echo’s Character ● She like to talk too much (direct) ● She is friends with Zeus (direct) ● She falls in love with Narcissus (direct) ● Juno curses Echo. Juno gets angry at Echo’s penchant for gossip. Echo is the main character and she interacts with Zeus, other forest nymphs and Juno. She lives in the forest and keeps Juno busy so that Juno will not catch Zeus philandering with other nymphs.. Echo keeps Juno busy so she cannot catch her husband being dishonest. Echo is no longer able to gossip or say anything other than what others say first. Echo is doomed to forever repeat the words of others.
