BACKGROUND
STUDY
• Attendance is evidence of a person’s presence. It now exists in everywhere such as institution,
organizations, hospital, etc. It is so important nowadays in institution because penalty will claim for the
student that attendance is below 80 percent. From early days until now, most of the attendances in
institution are still recorded manually by calling out the name one by one that carried on by lecturer. This
seems to be wasting time especially when the number of students is huge. There is also the other way that
is the lecturer will pass the attendance sheet to student one by one to sign beside their name. However,
this way will lead to one drawback which is the student can help to sign for the student that are absence.
Therefore, the only one solution to overcome this kind of problem is to manage the attendance
automatically.

STATEMENT
• Attendance is a state of being present at a place especially institution. Attendance is very important in institution. It
represents how puncture is a person are in real life or working environment. From early until now, the attendances are still
taking by our own as we sign on the name list that lecturer prepared and submit after signed. In this circumstance, some
student may lead to help others absence student to take their attendance. Therefore, an accurate system is needed to be
inventing to solve this problem. In order to have an accurate system, an ID is necessary, it means every student will have
their own ID that can differentiate each student identity. Currently ID card is already introduced in our university, but ID
card is perishable and easily lost With RFID device integration, the whole process becomes automated as students can scan
their digital card in front of an RFID device, and attendance gets automatically recorded in the attendance management
module. It minimizes the teacher’s workload as teachers don’t have to spend their valuable time marking attendance.

management This is the third chapter that covers the system requirement analysis in to two main parts
namely; the first one is the requirement analysis that consists of preliminary investigation, data

Most Attendance Management is a system that is built to facilitate the outgoing management of the
attendance. The main objective of developing this system is to help teachers in a systematic and
efficient way. Through the interview, the problem found is attendance management still using the
manual method to record attendance.
Besides, file system report cannot be generated due to the manual attendance record produced.
Therefore, profit report cannot be generated at the end of month. In a whole, the attendance
management system can speed up the process of recoding the student information to generate the
required report by the operators.

Also, this system will be implemented using PHP & MYSQL SERVER so that this system takes the

section and, after analyzing feasibility study we choose the above options.
