Except it will apply when some portions will be altered, added, converted or repair. TYPES OF CONSTRUCTIONS Type 1 – Buildings shall be wood construction. Type 2 – Buildings shall be wood construction with protective fire resistant materials and with one hour fire resistively. Except for nonbearing partitions. Type 3 - Building shall be masonry and wood construction. It shall have 1 hour fire resistive through out. Exterior wall shall be fire resistive construction. Type 4 - Building shall be steel iron concrete or masonry construction. Permanent walls and partitions shall be fire in combustion. Except permanent non-bearing partition of 1 hour fire resistive construction, may use fire retardant treated wood for framing. structural shall be steel. Iron , Type 5 – Building shall be fire resistive, structural concrete and masonry construction. CLASSIFICATION OF BLDG. PLASTICS (chapter 16) Approve plastics are 225 fire spread ratings. BUILDING LAWS PD 1096 (January 1, 1979) – The National Building Code of the Philippines.
