Concern: TYPHOON
AND FLOOD

IDEA GENERATION
Because of its geographical location, the Philippines is vulnerable to tropical
cyclones, which often bring torrential rainfall and floods over broad areas,
as well as powerful winds, resulting in heavy casualties and agricultural and
property loss. As a result, it is critical to acquire adequate understanding
about such marine occurrences for useful reasons.
IDEA GENERATION
Typhoons strike the Philippines on a regular basis. They occur around 16
times each year on average. Calabarzon, Bicol, and Central Luzon have been
impacted the hardest.
The Pacific typhoon season typically begins in April with less severe storms
and lasts until November. The most powerful typhoons often strike in
August and September.
IDEA GENERATION
Massive migration brought forth by rapid industrialization and urbanization
led to the construction of additional homes, roads, and other public
facilities. This contributes to the conversion of former agricultural area and
forest. Conversion of former agricultural area and forest to meet rising
demands resulted to the increase of run offs since the pave surfaces is
impermeable and cannot absorb rainwater. The increase of runoffs creates
flooding. Rainfall intensity and duration affecting run off, which caused
flooding and flash flooding, that damaged and destroyed public property,
disrupted business operations, and claimed lives.
ANALYTICAL AND LOGICAL
APPLICATIONS
Searching operation became hard whenever there’s a flood. It stakes the
lives of both the rescuer and the person who needed rescue. In line with
this, the robot is design as a solution in this circumstance. It will be design
like a boat with the ability to detect people and stop to wherever they are. It
is program with the GPS map system. The rescuer just needs to input the
location where it should go and route that it should take. Using this will
lessen the danger that the rescuer might face and also it would be very easy
for it to locate the people especially since it can detect thermal
temperatures.
ADVANTAGES
Can search during massive flooding which will ensure that the people
would be rescue on time.
Won't risk the safety of the rescuer. It will avoid drowning of the
rescuer/ contacting with dangerous objects/lessen the risk of
leptospirosis
Have advance features like GPS system and thermal temperature
scanner
Can be charged using solar power or can be manually pilot.
Can rescue ten people at the same time.
