CONDUCTING SYSTEM OF HEART: The conducting system of the heart consists of cardiac muscle cells and conducting fibers that are specialized for starting the nerve impulses and conducting them rapidly through the heart. They start the cardiac cycle and regulate the contractions of cardiac chambers. First both atria contract together and then both ventricles contract together, Steps of Conducting System of Heart: 1. Sinoatrial node (SA Node) Generate the first Action Potential (Nerve Impulse) Which Travel across the wall towards (Atrioventricular) AV Node. 2. The Impulse coming from SA node spreads across the atria, causing them to contract. 3. Action Potential reaches the AV Node which is connected to the network of muscle fibers spread throughout the interventricular septum (Separation between Both Ventricles) 4. The AV Bundle (Bundle of His is divided into each ventricle right and left. The action potential travel through each bundle branch. 5. The bundle of His and the Purkinje fibres spread the wave impulses along the ventricles, causing them to contract. 6. The rate of heartbeat is determine by the SA node that is why it is called as Pacemaker of the heart
