Holland and Sister Patricia T. Holland Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and his wife, Sister Patricia T. Holland, will share messages of the gospel of Jesus Christ during a worldwide devotional for young adults on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. MST. It will be broadcast from St. George, Utah. All young adults ages 18–30 are invited to participate in the broadcast. Young adults live in every ward in the Church, including yours. Young Adults are most likely to participate in events that are planned by their peers, that are announced in church, and that they are personally invited to attend. As you strive to help young adults feel loved, included, and engaged in the Lord’s Church, consider these principles outlined in “Establishing a YSA Gathering Place”: Engage with your stake YSA committee to plan the event and encourage personal invitations (see General Handbook: Serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 14. Single Members, ChurchofJesusChrist.org). Announce the event in Church meetings. Encourage ministering brothers and sisters to make personal, one-by-one invitations to attend together. Reach out to neighboring stakes to make sure married young adults are invited. Consider reviewing Elder and Sister Holland’s messages in your quorums and classes in the weeks following the devotional. The devotional will be broadcast live on ChurchofJesusChrist.org, YouTube, the Church satellite system, and other media. A satellite rebroadcast will occur on January 15.
