University of Southeastern Philippines Office of the Dean of Advanced Studies Graduate School Admission Process These guidelines provide USeP Graduate School applicants the minimum requirements and basic procedures to be followed for Admission. Colleges may require submission of additional requirements for admission. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's (for Master’s applicants) or Master's degree (for Doctoral applicants) from any recognized institution; Relevant industry experience subject to the guidelines of the colleges Application Process Applicant takes the Graduate School Admission Test (GSAT). The GSAT comprises of aptitude tests for Mathematics and English, and a psychological examination administered by the University Assessment and Guidance Center (UAGC). For Applicants outside Mindanao, the GSAT shall be administered online via Zoom by the UAGC in partnership with the Ateneo de Davao University Center of Psychological Extension and Research Services (COPERS). Applicant earns a "PASS" mark in the GSAT. To earn a “PASS” mark, the applicant must get a score of at least 80% in Mathematics and English. The UAGC will then send a copy of the results, which will be sent to the applicant within 5 days from taking the exam. Passed applicant must submit their requirements to their prospective college or to the Office of the Advanced Studies. The following documents must be submitted: Student Information Sheet Recommendations Concept Paper (for doctoral program applicants) Original copy of the Transcript of Records Original copy of Honorable Dismissal or Transfer Credentials Recent 2x2 ID photo Certificate of Employment (if applicable) Non-refundable fee for processing and documentation Signed Data Privacy and Non-Disclosure Agreement Form PSA authenticated Birth Certificate PSA authenticated Marriage Certificate (for female students) Foreign students are required to submit additional documents: o Photocopy of certificate or diploma received o Certification of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a score of at least 60 or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with score of at least 6.0. o Other requirements by the International Affairs Division (IAD) Admissions forms may be downloaded through this link: tinyurl.com/mvcnp8n7 The applicant shall then proceed to their chosen college for assessment and evaluation. Colleges may require applicants to pass an interview stage, conducted in person or online. Once the applicant has been evaluated, they may proceed to the next step of the application process. The Admissions Unit shall issue the qualified student a Notice of Admission to the Program (NOAP). Subsequently, the University Registrar USeP Student ID and portal credentials upon enrolment. Once documents are in order, the Admissions Unit shall issue the student their NOAP. The University Registrar shall then issue their student ID and portal credentials within 3 to 5 days. Students with incomplete transfer credentials are granted a Provisional Status. Students with Provisional Status shall become regular students after submission of all requirements to the Registrar. The student goes through the enrolment process. Students are considered officially enrolled upon completion of the enrolment process which includes advisement, payment of fees and registration. The student should accomplish the college enrolment form to select their preferred courses. The Program Head reviews the enrolment form, encodes the courses, and generates the billing statement or Pre-Registration Assessment (PRA) to the student. Step 2. If there are no concerns on the PRA, the student must sign the said form and forward the signed copy to the program head. NOTE: Students who require further advise/evaluation should contact their program head before signing the PRA. Step 3. The student shall pay the amount indicated in the PRA through designated payment centers or to the University Cashier. -- Step 4. For bank payments, a copy of the receipt or deposit slip must be sent to the to the program head which will then be forwarded to the Finance Department for validation and tagging. Once tagged, an Official Receipt will be issued to the student. Step 5. The student shall receive notification of Official Enrolment. The student is officially enrolled.
