Today we are cooking a national Ukrainian dish–dumplings. Every region of
Ukraine has its own recipe of dumplings. That’s why there are different ways
of cooking them. Today we are using the easiest recipe with the traditional
fillings–mashed potatoes and stewed cabbage.
We cooked the fillings beforehand as well as the gravy to grease the ready
dumplings. The gravy is made with sunflower oil and fried onions.
First, we are making dough. It is necessary to sift some flour into the bowl,
make a well in the center and add half a teaspoon of salt, two eggs, three
tablespoons of oil, a glass of mineral water and knead the dough, not very tight
but elastic. The dough should sit for half an hour and then we can make
dumplings.
