SNOWBOARDING 101 BOOTS SELECTION 1. Locate a local snowboard shop 2. Use the Brannock Device to measure both of your feet 3. Try on boots using the size measured in step 2 a. Softer flex likely a better option for beginners 4. Toes should be placed snugly against the front of the boots 5. Heels should not lift when leaning forward and backward (slight movements are acceptable) 6. Choose your preferred lacing style 11 BINDINGS SELECTION What angles do I set my bindings to? • Ensure your bindings are compatible with the mounting option on the board • Choose an appropriate binding size that will accommodate your boot size • Choose softer flex bindings if beginner • Determine your stance width • Determine your riding stance • Regular – left foot forward • Goofy – right foot forward • Choose the appropriate stance angle • +12,-6 angle if unsure if regular or goofy 13 SNOWBOARDING 101 BINDINGS SELECTION CONDITIONING Have you been skipping leg day?
